Intel CEO looking beyond 18A and 14A to 10A and 7A

“Now I’m starting to look at the 10A, 7A – the road map,” said Tan, “people don’t go to you for just one node. They’re looking for the road map for the future. So we want to build a long-term business.”
On 18Aand 14A , Tan said: “From the 18A, the news is much better – I can see 7% yield per month improvement. And then 14A, we are engaging with customers with real engagement. And then the IP blocks are also gradually building it up.”
For 14A, Tan said: “My risk production is 2028 and volume production in 2029 is about the same time as A14 for TSMC.”
TSMC has flagged 2017 for risk production on A14 and 2028 for volume production on A14. It has scheduled 2029 for production of both its A13 and A12 chips.
For Intel 10A and 7A , production would appear to be sometime after 2030.
