Fatekeeper First-Person ARPG Published by THQ Nordic Gets Early Access Launch Date

Fatekeeper is being developed by a 13-person outfit, Paraglacial, and to complement the aforementioned brutal melee combat and spellcasting, which have been previewed in a devlog video on YouTube, the developer has shown off an intricate skill tree that gives players a lot of flexibility when it comes to builds and combat. Fatekeeper is set in a post-apocalyptic world with elements from different cultures and time periods throughout history, and it presents players with a focussed narrative while still offering adventurous players with opportunity to explore the world and its lore.

Fatekeeper will feature a number of biomes and locations, including ancient battlegrounds, cavernous underground areas, forests, and derelict sanctuaries and forts lost to the ravages of time. Combat will offer players a decent amount of variety, too, with the game’s Steam page promising swords, axes, clubs, maces, and even lobbed projectiles, all of which can be customized and tweaked with the game’s alchemy system. There are also a variety of intimidating foes corrupted by the forces of evil, including druids, dragons, giant insects, and other creatures inspired by myth and legend, all presenting players with combat challenges that keep things interesting and encourage trying different combinations of gear, weapons, and spells.
