Microsoft Works to Expand Dark Theme Support Across Windows 11

We are pushing to get our tools and techniques to the point where we can implement the dark theme in more areas across Windows. No timelines to commit to yet for Regedit. As we make progress in various legacy system panels and dialogs, we will keep improving consistency.
Currently, Windows 11 is a mixture of legacy Microsoft frameworks for the user interface. This spaghetti of UIs has caused a lot of inconsistency, where daily operations are met with non-uniform UIs carried over from the Windows 7 era. This mix includes web-based WebView2, React, and others. Microsoft plans to transition its entire user experience to the desktop-only WinUI 3 framework, which will reduce application latency, improve user experience, and feel noticeably smoother. Finally, achieving UI uniformity will enhance dark mode support, so when users turn on dark mode, it will truly be applied everywhere, not just on some panels and the home screen.
