"Rugged" Corsair Warthog RS Mid-Tower ATX Case Shows Up for Pre-Order
It appears as though Corsair is planning to expand its line-up of mid-tower cases, with a new Warthog WX-02 case showing up as an Amazon pre-order, apparently ahead of an official launch. The Warthog is a mid-tower case with an airflow focus, an air force-inspired aesthetic (hence the name, which is in reference to the A-10 Thunderbolt aircraft commonly known as the Warthog), and what appears to be a mix of steel and aluminium accent panels. The current pre-order price on Amazon is $268.84 with fans and $228.51 without fans, and the expected shipment date is August 11, although we may see early production or pre-production units appear at Computex soon. The case will be available in a military “Olive Drab” colorway in addition to the classic black.

Given the airflow focus, the Warthog case has an almost fully open front panel with a very coarse dust filter over the front intake fan mounts, which are capable of housing up to two 200 mm fans, with capacity for up to two 140 mm fans in the top of the case and another 120 mm fan in the rear exhaust. When ordering the case with fans, it will come with two Corsair RS200 PWM fans and an RS120 PWM fan preinstalled in the rear exhaust position. The right side panel features an angular design with three small tempered glass windows, and the bottom and top of the case are adorned with folded steel feet and grab handles. By the looks of the design of the feet and handles, the case is made to be able to be mounted vertically or horizontally. The front I/O isn’t clearly shown in the pre-order imagery, but what is visible are two USB Type-A ports and separate 3.5 mm input and output jacks, located next to on/off switches inspired by fighter jet cabin switchgear. There’s even a red “Remove before build” tag on the front modeled after the “Remove before flight” tags found on aircraft.
