The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Reaches 65 Million Copies Ahead of Songs of the Past Launch

Following the recent announcement of the Songs of the Past DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, landing alongside a free Next-Gen Upgrade—11 years after the game’s initial release, mind you—CD Projekt Red officially announced its Q1 2026 financial results. In those financial results, the game studio revealed that The Witcher 3 has sold over 65 million copies sold in the game’s lifetime. In Q1 2026, The Witcher IP generated as much as 44.7 million PLN ($12.26 million) in revenue, which was actually a 36% increase over the same period in 2025. By comparison, Cyberpunk saw a 4% decrease in revenue comparing Q1 2025 to Q1 2026, but it still earned 140.1 million PLN in revenue ($38.45 million) in Q1 2026. The Studio is currently working on The Witcher 4, with 513 workers currently engaged in the production process, while Cyberpunk 2 has a dedicated team of 163 people.
