Q1 capex of AWS, MS, Google and Meta tops $700bn

Capex forecasts for the year were: Meta $125-145 billion; Google $180 billion; MS $190 billion; and Amazon $200 billion. A collective $700 billion.
The four companies had combined Q1 sales revenue of $431 billion for a combined Q1 profit of $151 billion.
After these four, datacentre spending by other companies is relatively low: the two biggest are Oracle at about $50 billion and CoreWeave at $30–35 billion.
US datacentre spending this year is expected to account for 35-40% of the world spend. China is second and Europe a distant third.
