FXO imaging system supports 4-Channel CoaXPress-12

Possible applications include electronics and semiconductor production. For example, for 2D/3D Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), semiconductor assembly verification, SMT pick-and-place alignment, and high-resolution PCB inspection.

In automotive and industrial metrology, the cameras support 2D/3D material inspection. There can also be high-precision measurement of strain, deformation, and displacement, says Allied Vision.

FXO

In the series, there is the 24.6 megapixel fxo935xCX12-4C and the 12.4 megapixel fxo936xCX12-4C. Integrating the latest Sony Pregius S BSI global shutter sensors IMX935 and IMX936, hence their name, they can deliver data rates of up to 50 Gbit/s via the four CoaXPress-12 connections.

There is Power-over-CXP – part of the CoaXPress (CXP) standard – and the housing has a 50 × 50mm footprint (50 × 50 × 34mm for C-Mount, 50 × 50 × 19mm for Flat Front).

Features

As mentioned, the fxo935x CX12-4C has a 24.6 megapixel sensor, providing a resolution of 5,328(H) × 4,608 (V). And the fxo965x CX12-4C has a 12.4 megapixel sensor, providing a resolution of 4,128 (H) × 3,008 (V).

The former has a frame rate of 192fps (8Bit) and the latter 339fps (8bit). In both cases, the pixel sizes are 2.74μm.

  • Interface: CoaXPress 2.0 (CXP-12), 4 connections (up to 50 Gbit/s)
  • Power: Power-over-CXP with 9 W power consumption
  • Cooling: Passive, fanless cooling for vibration-free operation
  • Image formats: Monochrome and color variants
  • Lens mounts: Modular concept with Flat Front and C-Mount options
  • Operating temperature: -10°C to +60°C with full 4-channel CXP-12 performance
