8K AI Vision SoC Handles Multi-Sensor Perception

Ambarella’s CV7 system-on-chip (SoC) is built around a quad-core Arm Cortex-A73 with a 64-bit DRAM interface. It incorporates hardware-accelerated video decode and encode that can manage two 8Kp30 streams or a 4Kp240 stream using standard H.264, H.265, MJPEG encoding.
The chip also features Amberella’s CVflow AI accelerator designed to handle vision language models (VLMs) and an image signal processor (ISP). On top of that, it supports advanced signal processing, high dynamic range (HDR), dewarping for fisheye cameras, and 3D motion-compensated temporal filtering (MCTF).
The CV7 targets a range of vision applications from 360-degree cameras to robotics and surveillence systems.
