Assassin's Creed Shadows Final Update Expands End-Game Content
A little over a year since the game launched, Ubisoft has announced the final content update, Title Update 1.1.11, for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, launching on June 16, and delivering the final end-game quest, called Black Tides, to finally conclude the story of Yasuke and Naoe. Black Tides sees players go up against two mysterious Templars who have journeyed to Japan to hunt Yasuke and Naoe and fulfill their own ulterior motives along the way. Players will need to complete all previous free post-launch content drops in order to access the Black Tides quest, except for Claws of Awaji. The update also adds Domains, a new, replayable, arena-based endgame activity that challenges players and encourages build diversity.

Domains will feature boss battles and missions, but each level of difficulty (1-10) will apply additional modifiers to make things even more difficult. There are five separate gameplay simulations in Domains, and each one will challenge players in different ways. Players will be able to buy Domain-specific items from the Domain shop with a special in-game currency. Domain activities will also reward players with special weapons and cosmetics that will never be available outside the challenges. Black Tides will also link Shadows to Black Flag Resynced with two new live projects, Riptide and Undertow, wherein players can earn rewards that will cross over between the two games. As usual, there are also a host of new bug fixes and UI improvements, which can be seen in the full update notes. Trailers for Domains and the Black Tides quest follow.
