As a low-profile successor to its earlier 8mm power block, it has a 10 x 9 x 5mm compact footprint. This boosts overall power density by 37.5% highlights ITG.

The PM1201C081 Series supports input voltages ranging from 5V to 16V. It provides 40 amps per phase and 80 amps of continuous current, handling up to 140 amps of peak current.

“The PM1201C081 Series reflects ITG’s ongoing commitment to helping engineers achieve more power in less space,” said Martin Kuo, Director of Future at ITG Electronics.

“Reducing the height from 8mm to 5mm without compromising performance is a major step forward for high-density computing environments where every cubic millimeter counts.”

The package is suitable for automated assembly by standard surface mount equipment.

The power block is RoHS compliant.
