BenQ Expands RD Series with 27-inch 144 Hz RD270Q Programmer Monitor

BenQ announced the RD270Q, a 27-inch WQHD monitor dedicated to programmers and developers. The product is part of the RD Series that BenQ introduced in 2024 as a monitor line specifically designed for programmers, the first of its kind according to the company. The lineup’s current flagship is the RD280UG, which was announced in January 2026. The BenQ RD270Q sports an IPS panel with a native 2560 x 1440 resolution at 144 Hz. The 144 Hz refresh rate is notable for a productivity-focused display since smoother scrolling through code and large documents is a nice benefit even outside gaming contexts. It has a 1300:1 contrast ratio, 350 cd/m² brightness and 178° viewing angles. The matte finish uses BenQ Nano Matte coating to reduce reflections.
The monitor comes with three dedicated programming modes: Light, Dark and Color Paper. Alongside those it also features M-book mode for MacBook color matching and an ePaper mode for long reading sessions. AMD FreeSync is supported. On the connectivity side it sports HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4 and a USB-C port with 65 W power delivery. A pair of 2 W speakers is included for basic audio. The stand adjusts for tilt, swivel, pivot, and up to 130 mm of height, and the display can pivot to portrait orientation for vertical code viewing. The BenQ RD270Q monitor goes on sale June 3, 2026, and is priced at around $400.
