B23 connector combines power supply and data

The series combines power supply and shielded data transmission in one connector. It enables Ethernet transmission rates of up to 100 Mbit/s.
Possible application areas include servo motors, robotics, manufacturing systems and, more generally, decentralised automation systems.
“Our new B23 connector combines power supply and data transmission in a unique, compact system,” said Binder’s Head of Product Management, Philipp Zuber. “It is therefore a key building block for the further establishment of One Cable Automation”.
“With our field-attachable version in particular, we are setting new standards in terms of efficiency and flexibility in electrical connection technology.”
B23
B23 features highlighted by Binder include:
- Power transmission: up to 28 A at up to 630 V
- Data transmission: shielded Ethernet / EtherCAT according to Cat5, up to 100 Mbit/s
- Fast installation: bayonet quick-locking system
- Easy assembly: screw clamp termination technology for field use
- Standardisation: IEC 61076-2-118 for manufacturer-independent compatibility
There are currently six connector variants within the B23 series. Detailed information for each of them is on the company website.
