Amiiba at Computex 2026: A Unique Hardware Brand Built Around Mesmerizing Ferrofluid
At Computex 2026, a new PC hardware brand named Amiiba debuted with a design focus on what it describes as “calm design.” Moving away from conventional, aggressive gaming aesthetics, Amiiba draws its creative inspiration from kinetic art and tactile materials, most notably ferrofluid. Originally engineered by NASA to move rocket fuel in zero gravity, ferrofluid dynamically responds to magnetic fields. Amiiba has intelligently integrated this material into its initial product lineup. It looks mesmerizing in person.

The flagship offering is the Ferra, a premium microATX chassis that pairs a compact footprint with sophisticated material design. It features a tool-free, swappable magnetic front-panel system that allows users to switch between finishes like wood, resin, marble, and fabric, without disassembling their system. Despite its elegant exterior, the Ferra remains capable, supporting four-slot graphics cards up to 418 mm in length, 360 mm radiators, and various power supply orientations, ventilating them under airflow from a mesh intake.

In the cooling segment, Amiiba introduced the Proteus and Leucus AIO liquid coolers. The Proteus Ferrofluid edition physically integrates an interactive ferrofluid display framed by a natural wood inlay, while the Proteus LCD variant swaps the fluid for a round true-color screen. Meanwhile, the Leucus series offers interchangeable pump covers, including a subtle ARGB+wood option. Both cooler lines utilize a 27 mm radiator alongside high-performance fans.Rounding out the launch is the Vitalis PSU series, arriving in capacities up to 2000 W. These fully-modular units boast of 80 Plus Titanium efficiency, the latest ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 CEM standards, premium Japanese capacitors, and dependably quiet operation. Amiiba’s innovative approach signals a refreshing fusion of high-end performance and sophisticated industrial design.
