New Leak Tips $549 MSRP for AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE

Recent leaks and rumors claimed that AMD was planning to launch the previously China-exclusive Radeon RX 9070 GRE graphics card globally. Now, a new leak out of VideoCardz lends credence to these rumors, reporting that the cut-back Navi 48 graphics card will launch on June 1. The 48-CU 9070 GRE features 12 GB of VRAM instead of the regular RX 9070’s up to 16 GB. It also has just 3072 Stream Processors compared to the 9070’s 3584.
The leak also contains what appears to be a slide from an AMD announcement of the GPU, which presents the MSRP of the RX 9070 GRE as $549. What the actual retail pricing will turn out to be for the RX 9070 GRE remains to be seen, since the current global DRAM pricing situation has inflated prices for everything from laptops to SSDs and GPUs. Curiously, however, that $549 MSRP is the same as that of the full-fat RX 9070 16 GB, so it’s possible that AMD will adjust the MSRP of the regular RX 9070 line-up when it launches the 9070 GRE.
