Epomaker Shows Off F108 Pro V2 Full-Size Mechanical Keyboard Ahead of Launch
Following the recent reveal of the Epomaker HE75 V2, the budget peripherals maker has now revealed the updated Epomaker x Aula F1080 Pro V2 wireless mechanical keyboard. The updated keyboard has yet to launch on Epomaker’s website, but in a recent livestream, Epomaker showed off some of the features of the new full-size mechanical keyboard. As with the previous F108 Pro, the F108 Pro V2 features a plastic gasket-mount case that’s held together with clips, making it a bit more of a challenge for modders but likely reducing the BOM cost and final price of the keyboard itself. An exact launch date has not yet been announced, nor has pricing, but if it’s priced at all like the existing F108 Pro, it will cost around $100. The livestream showed off a number of colors, including a pastel pink, a retro-themed beige with brown and black accents, and a version with a black case with smokey translucent keycaps.

The new F108 Pro V2 features a familiar 108-key layout, 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth connectivity, and a much smaller built-in dot matrix display that has now been moved to the space between the arrow cluster and navigation cluster, allowing for more keys above the num pad. The F108 Pro V2 has also been upgraded to feature a 10,000 mAh battery for extended battery life. Despite the plastic case, the keyboard has a built-in RGB light bar that runs along the sides of the case, and it features Cherry profile keycaps—likely dye-sub PBT—and hot-swap switches, with the default switches being the Leobog Reaper switches with optional silent Leobog Cotton Candy silent switches. The F108 Pro V2 also has a hardware connectivity switch, which avoids having to remember key combinations to switch between Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz, and wired modes. The keyboard also sports per-key RGB backlighting, although it looks to be south-facing sockets, which would make finding shine-through keycaps difficult for those who are interested in seeing the backlighting during normal use.
