Delft Circuits to scale quantum manufacturing

Karen Keenan, COO at Delft Circuits

Delft Circuits has appointed Karen Keenan as chief operating officer (COO). This marks a key step in scaling the company into a global quantum I/O hardware manufacturing platform.

Keenan succeeds Maarten Hendriks, who will take on a new role leading the expansion of the company’s quantum fab infrastructure in the Netherlands as the company accelerates production.

The new quantum fab in Delft is a dedicated facility for manufacturing quantum I/O hardware. The company is also planning further expansion of its global commercial and field operations to support customers worldwide. As the quantum industry continues to scale, Delft Circuits is expanding its production capabilities, operational bandwidth and global footprint.

“Karen brings exactly the right leadership and experience needed for this phase. I am excited to now focus fully on expanding our quantum fab and infrastructure in the Netherlands, ensuring we are ready to support the growing demand for quantum I/O hardware on a global level,” said  Hendriks.

These appointments and those of Martin Danoesastro as CEO and CCO Robby Ferdinandus further strengthen Delft Circuits’ executive team.

Danoesastro added “Our customers are rapidly scaling their quantum systems, driving a new level of demand for reliable, industrial-grade I/O hardware. The next step is to industrialise that scale globally. Karen brings the experience required to scale our operations to meet increasing global demand and drive execution at speed, while Maarten focuses on expanding our quantum fab and infrastructure. In parallel, we are strengthening our global customer-facing capabilities to serve them at scale. Together, this leadership team positions Delft Circuits to accelerate growth, attract top talent and partner with the leading players shaping the future of quantum systems.”

Keenan holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in aerospace engineering from TU Delft and began her career at Boston Consulting Group. She later joined Luuna (now Zebrands) in Mexico as head of product then became COO.
