Tuxedo Launches InfinityBook Max 16 with AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and GeForce RTX 50

Following the recently launched InfinityBook Max 16 – INTEL with Core Ultra 9 275HX, the AMD-based variant of the thin and light Linux gaming workstation is now ready to hit the market.

Despite its robust high-quality full-metal chassis, the InfinityBook Max 16 weighs just over 2 kg and is powered by up to a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 or 5070, and a 99 Wh battery, while the 500 nits, 100 % DCI-P3 display qualifies the Linux ultrabook workstation for software development, professional media design, and gaming.

Lightweight and Robust All-aluminium Chassis
Despite featuring a sturdy all-aluminium build, a maximally large 99 Wh battery, and slightly larger and heavier cooling compared to the lower-tier InfinityBook Pro 15, the new Max 16 comes in at just over 2 kg, combining a particularly lightweight and thin form factor with high performance for software development, content creation, and gaming.

For this, the color-adjustable keyboard backlight adds a fancy touch of gaming aesthetics, while offset full-size arrow keys improve ergonomic navigation, the full-featured number pad ensures high productivity in number-crunching tasks, and rear power and monitor ports allow for clean and distraction-free cable management.

Power-Saving yet Powerful: Up to AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370

The TUXEDO InfinityBook Max 16 relies on AMD Ryzen AI 300 processors, which are designed to provide a great balance of performance and low power consumption.

The entry-level model, the Ryzen AI 7 350, features 8 CPU cores processing up to 16 threads at 10 to 90 W of power. It offers far more than enough speed for all everyday usage scenarios and even provides performance headroom for more demanding projects.

The Ryzen AI 9 365 provides 10 cores and around 15 % faster multicore speed at 10 to 90 W, while the similarly powered Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with 12 processing cores places itself ahead by another 15 %.

The Ryzen AI engine performs AI calculations for image or text generation, AI assistance functions, and much more, with up to 66 (AI 7 350), 73 (AI 9 365), and 80 trillion operations per second (TOPS) for the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, locally for data protection reasons.

Fast Graphics for Work & Play

The InfinityBook Max 16’s powerful yet affordable mid-range graphics cards in the form of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 and the roughly 15 % faster GeForce RTX 5070 offer approximately 3x to 4x more performance than the CPU-integrated Radeon 890M and qualify the slim and light Linux business notebook for graphically demanding work and PC games at high quality settings.

Premium Display Options and 99 Wh Battery
Despite its portable form factor, the large 16:10 16-inch display offers plenty of space for coding, image editing, animation, or immersive gaming. Covering the full DCI-P3 color gamut (25 % larger than sRGB), 500 nits of brightness, and a blazingly fast 300 Hz refresh rate make the high-resolution panel an equally great choice for work and gaming.

The 180° tiltable display lid offers maximum flexibility for all kinds of laptop stands, while the privacy webcam shutter prevents unauthorized access to the 1080p webcam.

Despite its primary purpose as a lightweight high-performance workstation for frequently changing work locations, the InfinityBook Max 16 features the maximum battery capacity of 99 Wh for up to 7 hours of Wi-Fi video streaming and convenient USB-C charging with up to 140 watts. For unleashing full performance, the laptop is powered by a particularly compact 240 W GaN power supply.

Low Profile Cooling for up to 160 Watts

In order to dissipate the combined heat from the high-end CPU and powerful graphics card in such a thin chassis, the InfinityBook Max 16 integrates a slightly larger, but virtually equally thin and light, 8 mm low-profile cooling system (InfinityBook Pro 15: 7 mm), which raises the combined maximum power at full fan speed to 160 watts. For reference: The diameter of a 1-Eurocent coin is double the size at 16 mm!

As mentioned earlier, for quieter fan noise under load, CPU and GPU performance can be adjusted to meet the preferred acoustic level using the TUXEDO Control Center. If customers prioritize lower fan noise over a light and ultra-thin chassis, the higher-tier Stellaris 16 runs significantly quieter while delivering the same performance thanks to superior 12 mm cooling and even more power-efficient graphics cards.

USB4, 3x DisplayPort, USB Charging and up to 128 GB RAM

In addition to USB4, the InfinityBook Max 16 not only provides a second USB-C port but also a Mini DisplayPort as well as an HDMI 2.1 interface for up to four external high-resolution monitors.

While both USB-C connectors allow charging the Linux business laptop via Power Delivery (140 W | 20 V / 7 A), 3x USB-A ports enhance compatibility with peripherals. The placement of ports for less frequently unplugged peripherals, such as monitors and the power supply, at the rear allows clean and distraction-free cable management.

Storage-wise, the 16-inch Linux business gaming laptop offers two easily accessible and upgradeable slots for up to 128 GB DDR5-5600 RAM and up to 8 terabytes of SSD storage (1x PCIe 5.0, 1x PCIe 4.0).

Plenty of ports for flexible setups: USB4, two additional USB-C ports, triple DisplayPort support, and several USB-A ports allow connecting multiple monitors and classic peripherals.
