Anduril raises $5bn Series H for Lattice platform development

The latest investment round was led by Thrive Capital and Andreessen Horowitz. It will give the company, it says, the ability to continue investing aggressively in manufacturing capacity and research and development.

“When we founded Anduril in 2017, defense was not a category that attracted significant venture investment. That has changed meaningfully over the last several years. Investors have increasingly recognized the scale of the technological and industrial challenges facing the United States and its allies,” said company CEO, Brian Schimpf, announcing the investment.

“They are also observing an environment in which the most agile, adaptive, and ambitious companies are the ones most capable of solving these challenges.”

SSN

Back in December 2024 we reported it had won a $99.7 million contract to the modernise the U.S. Space Surveillance Network (SSN).

The SSN tracks objects in space such as debris and both active and inactive satellites. The contract was awarded by U.S. Space Systems Command.

Anduril will be using its Lattice product, software supporting a mesh networking capability for sensor data. This will be to deploy the Space Domain Awareness Network (SDANet).

Highlights

More recently, over the past year, Anduril highlights, it has doubled revenue (reaching $2.2 billion in 2025) and almost doubled its workforce.

It also delivered its first international contract to the Royal Australian Navy. And demonstrated autonomous flight on an Air Force unmanned combat aircraft programme.

With its founding in 2017, the company headquarters are in Costa Mesa, California.

As mentioned, its main product is Lattice, a platform for its “software-defined weapons”. This integrates with third-party and government-owned systems, extensible network of sensors and effectors.
