Enter the Chronosphere Enters Early Access: New Roguelike Blends Turn-Based and Bullet Hell Gameplay With Hand-Drawn Art Style
Enter the Chronosphere, a new isometric shooter that combines a number of game mechanics that you might not necessarily expect to work together, has officially launched in Early Access on Steam at $13.49, with a 10% launch discount. Enter the Chronosphere features roguelike gameplay that sees players tackle a variety of procedurally generated chronospheres that have unique enemies, gear, characters to unlock, and environmental and physics-based threats.

In terms of moment-to-moment gameplay, Enter the Chronosphere’s shooter mechanics are something of a mix of bullet hell gameplay and the popular VR game, Superhot, in the sense that enemies only move when the player moves. The aesthetics of Enter the Chronosphere are a retro hand-drawn style, with bold colors, cel shading, and sketchy outlines. Aside from gathering gear in each run, players collect gear and unlock new characters and abilities as a form of meta-progression.
